Catching Fire Filming Location Update, Oahu, Hawaii and Georgia

Last week, Russ Bowen (a news anchor from North Carolina) has shared us some bits about the filming locations for Catching Fire. He mentioned that North Carolina is unlikely to be the set for District 12. You can read that post here. From his recent tweets, Bowen stated that the set for D12 will be in Georgia and that the pre-production has started:

After scouting Kauai, Maui, Hawaii island and Oahu, executives for Hunger Games: Catching Fire selected Oahu as a location for four to five weeks of filming beginning as early as November and including preproduction will wrap in Hawaii just before the December Christmas break. Budget for the sequel is in excess of $100 million, sources said…
